  5. Canasta is being released as shareware.  Copies may be
  6. distributed by BBSes, FTP sites, CD-ROMs, disk vendors, etc..., with
  7. the following conditions:

  9. - The following files must all be present together, and unmodified when
  10.   distributed:

  12.   CANASTA.EXE     - Canasta program file
  13.   CANASTA.HLP     - Canasta help file
  14.   HISTORY.TXT     - Version history of Canasta
  15.   FILE_ID.DIZ    - Brief description of the program for BBS use
  16.   LICENSE.TXT    - License terms (this file)
  17.   REGISTER.TXT   - Registration form
  18.  
  19. - The following file may be excluded from the package, PROVIDED THAT IT IS
  20.   ALWAYS AVAILABLE SEPARATELY FROM THE SAME LOCATION AS THE 'STRIPPED' 
  21.   PACKAGE:

  23.   BWCC.DLL     - Borland Windows Custom Controls file 
  24.  
  25. - When distributed inside a compressed file, the prefix of that file
  26.   should be CANAS202.
  27.  
  28. - The package should be listed under the name "Canasta 2.02 Windows cardgame"

  30. - Vendors who have a copy which is dated more than 1 year ago should check
  31.   to see if there is a newer edition before distributing the package.

  33. - Any vendor publication which lists CANASTA must clearly have an
  34.   explanation of the shareware concept.  This information must be
  35.   visible to customers before they pay a fee to the vendor.

  37. - The abstract in the FILE_ID.DIZ file contains text recommended
  38.   for use as a description for this package.
  39.  
  40. - This package should not be bundled as part of another product
  41.   without permission.

  43. - CANASTA is copyrighted shareware.  It should never be classified as
  44.   public domain or free software.
  45.  
  46. - License for the registered version is not transferable.

  48. - This package must not be rented or leased.

  50. - Those who benefit from the uses of CANASTA are expected to
  51.   register with the author.  Users are given a 21 day evaluation
  52.   period.  The registration form can be printed by typing
  53.   "COPY REGISTER.TXT PRN" at the DOS prompt.

  56.   this program are VERY MUCH encouraged to send me a copy of the
